The TUM extends over four large locations in Bavaria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Munich<\/li>\n<li>Garching<\/li>\n<li>Weihenstephan<\/li>\n<li>Straubing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The university's 15 faculties and main research facilities are located here.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to a large, free car park on the Garching campus, TUM has the public <strong>underground car park GALILEO<\/strong>, from where many facilities and shops can be reached quickly and on foot in Garching.<\/p>\n<p>The campus is <strong>highly frequented<\/strong> by students and their visitors; therefore, the current parking situation has become precarious.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Intelligent park guidance system from MSR-Traffic<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Since March 2020, the campus has offered another multi-story car park at Coulombwall 6 with an intelligent parking space guidance system from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dXIoGugsVuk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MSR-Traffic<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>200 parking<\/strong> spaces are used exclusively by TUM employees and students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>E-Mobility<\/strong> is enjoying increasing demand. The electric car is becoming more and more attractive and cheaper. Therefore, the focus in this parking garage is on the division into normal and handicapped parking spaces and especially into parking spaces with charging stations.<\/p>\n<p>The freely programmable <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msr-traffic.de\/en\/solutions\/displays-for-indoor-use\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>ParkGard\u00ae Matrix LED displays<\/strong><\/a> from MSR-Traffic used for this purpose provide intuitive guidance and save the car park user valuable time. The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.msr-traffic.de\/en\/solutions\/single-space-monitoring-with-ultrasonic-sensors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MSR ultrasonic sensors<\/a><\/strong> with colored status LEDs enable <strong>precise counting<\/strong> and <strong>single space detection<\/strong> of vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>The single space and counting sensors are each installed under the ceiling, whether on plaster or on a rail.<\/p>\n<p>Since the top parking deck of the parking garage has no ceiling, <strong>induction loops<\/strong> were used.
